Honor 50 Lite coming to Europe, looks just like Huawei’s nova 8i

In June, the Honor 50 series of phones made their debut in China. The Honor 50 Pro, Honor 50, and Honor 50 SE are among them, with the vanilla variant set to debut in Europe on October 26 alongside Google Mobile Services. Now, according to WinFuture, and Honor 50 Lite phone will be released in the Old Continent by the end of the month. Simply looking at it, this is a rebadged Huawei nova 8i, and the “new” device’s leaked spec sheet verifies it. Given the similar build and specs of the two devices, this also begs the question of how independent Honor is from Huawei.

The Honor 50 Lite will have a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with a pill-shaped cutout for its 16MP front camera. A circular camera ring on the back houses a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide snapper, and two 2MP modules for macro photos and depth data.

The Snapdragon 662 SoC is at the wheel, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone is rumored to come preloaded with Android 11 and Magic UI 5.0, as well as Google Mobile Service.

When it launches later this month, the Honor 50 Lire is expected to cost roughly €300 (€50 less than the nova 8i). It will be offered in two colors: black and blue.
