Infinix Smart 6 Goes Official; Entry-level Handset with Unisoc Chipset and Long Battery Life

The Smart 6 is the latest phone in Infinix’s Smart series. The official website for the Infinix Smart 5 successor is already live, but the manufacturer has yet to reveal pricing or availability information. We’ll take a look at what the Smart 6 has to offer at the entry-level.

The Infinix Smart 6 has a plastic body with a glossy finish. The polycarbonate shell houses a fingerprint scanner and a roundish camera plate on the back. The chassis incorporates a 3.5mm audio jack as well as a dated micro USB port.

To make the Smart 6 more secure, Infinix coated the back with antibacterial material. Heart of Ocean, Light Sea Green, Polar Black, and Starry Purple are the available colors.
The screen is a 6.6″ IPS LCD, flanked on one side by a drop notch and a heavy chain, and is expected to be priced at an entry-level Infinix mobile. It has a maximum resolution of 720P and a maximum brightness of 500 nits. The 5MP front camera is used for 2D Face Unlock. The main camera has an 8MP resolution and is supplemented by an AI lens.

A 5000 mAh battery powers everything. A single charge of the Infinix Smart 6 provides 87 hours of music streaming and 31 hours of video playback. There is no support for fast charging here, but the Smart 6 can extend battery life even further by using the various power-saving modes.

The chipset inside the Infinix Smart 6 is unremarkable, as are the externals. It’s a mysterious Unisoc platform with 3GB of memory and 32GB of expandable internal storage. This hardware is used to run the Android 11 Go Edition, which is designed for low-end phones.
