Oppo will soon release a new A-series phone. There has been no official word on the Oppo A55s, but press mockups have been leaked online. They give us a sneak peek at the A55s’ design. Geekbench is also said to have published the phone’s benchmarks.
The press image was published by 91Mobiles, a publication with a long and proven track record for Android leaks. The Oppo A55s is shown in two colors: mint and duotone black. The phone’s shell is made of plastic and bears the Oppo logo.
The Oppo A54 sibling’s camera island protrudes from the backplate in the shape of a rectangle. This bump houses two lenses, an AI sticker, and an LED flash. Oppo only included a power button and two volume rockers in the frame. The A55s lacks fingerprint security, making it feel out of place in 2021.
The OPPO A55s was also highlighted on the benchmarking website Geekbench. You can find it by searching for the model number “CPH2309.” The Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor is specified as the phone’s core processor in the scorecard. The 5G chip is constructed on a 6nm process node. It has 4GB of memory and the ColorOS UI on Android 11.Flip the new Oppo price list addition over to reveal a bezel-heavy display. It’s a 20:9 IPS LCD with a 720P resolution, presumably. The front camera is also housed in a punch-hole in the screen corner on the Oppo A55s. It’s a standard design for a low-cost Oppo phone.
