Since 2018, OPPO has been working on its first foldable phone. There have been concept phones and prototypes, but the Chinese phone company has yet to release a foldable phone. When the OPPO Find N is released later this month, that will change. With an official press release, OPPO teased its arrival.

OPPO’s first foldable flagship is introduced by Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer. On December 15, at the OPPO INNO Day event, the OPPO Find N 5G will be unveiled. An early preview of the phone’s hinge and the triple camera can be found in the press release. The lack of a crease on the Find N is also worth noting (which usually runs above the hinge in a typical foldable.) No other phone manufacturer has yet to achieve this feat. The screen durability of the foldable phone is also noteworthy.
OPPO’s tardiness in the ‘foldable’ party is explained in the press release. Despite the fact that the forthcoming Find N has been in the works for over four years, OPPO was hesitant to release it until it was perfected enough to be used on a daily basis. Mr. Lau stated, “It is better for OPPO to debut a product at a later period when it is ready to give a fantastic user experience rather than hurrying to catch up with trends.” For context, consider the shortcomings of the initial Samsung Galaxy Fold or the Huawei Mate X.
