OPPO Find N Unveiled, Featuring a Sleek Foldable Design and Creaseless Display

The OPPO Find N, the company’s first foldable flagship, was released on time today. It was launched during Oppo’s INNO Day event and is aimed squarely at Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 smartphone. Its form factor is similar to that of the Foldout it is more sophisticated and polished.

Because Oppo went through multiple prototype iterations, the OPPO Find N has been in the works since 2018. Its core notion is nothing new; three Samsung Folds and two Huawei Mate X smartphones have already done so. The Oppo Find N, on the other hand, stands out for the maturity and polish it gives to this design arrangement.

For starters, the Oppo Find N has no visible crease above the hinge. Other phone manufacturers have struggled to remove ugly folds from their flexible screens. It’s all thanks to the ‘Flexion’ teardrop hinge.

It’s a complex bit of engineering that not only makes the screen creaseless but also eliminates the gap when it’s folded shut. Overall, especially for a first-generation product, it’s a pretty simple experience. Years of research and development appear to have paid dividends.
The Oppo Find N also supports Samsung’s ‘Flex’ mode, which has become increasingly popular in recent years. The foldable can be attached at any angle between 50 and 120 degrees. It has a built-in tripod that may be used for video calling, selfies, or long-exposure photography.

Unfold the Oppo Find N to reveal a 7.1″ LTPO OLED display with a refresh rate that varies dynamically between 1 and 120Hz. It also has a max brightness of 1000 nits. This screen’s flexible ‘ultra-thin glass’ is likewise thinner than any other on the market.

The cover display of the new foldable Oppo smartphone, which is more compact (5.49″) and wide, is the same. The cover screen is ergonomic, in contrast to the Z Fold 3’s narrow, odd aspect ratio. The refresh rate of the secondary display, however, is capped at 60Hz.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage power the Find N. The device’s 4500 mAh battery is charged with 33W conventional and 15W wireless charging. To make the UI more user-friendly, Oppo has included simple and effective gestures.

Three of the five cameras onboard are housed in a raised platform in the back, and one is housed in each screen. A cluster of 40MP wide, 16MP ultra-wide, and 13 telephoto lenses make up the triple camera. The selfie cameras are equipped with 32MP sensors.
