Following multiple leaks and videos, OPPO officially announced the Reno 8 portfolio, which includes the basic Reno 8, 8 Pro, and 8 Pro Plus. The series was much anticipated, owing to the fact that it represents the first time Chinese devices using the MariSilicon X imaging NPU have been released.
At the top of the list is the OPPO Reno 8 Pro Plus. It has a magnificent 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with a brightness of 950 nits, a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, the 32MP front-facing camera has a hole-punch cutout in the center. The design is identical to the leaked renders that circulated online.

The MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max chip is included inside the Reno 8 Pro Plus. It has 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of inbuilt UFS 3.1 storage. A 4,500mAh battery powers the phone and offers an 80W VOOC flash charging.
Moving to the back. On an elevated camera island, three lenses and an LED flash to form a cluster. It includes 50MP wide-angle, 8MP ultra-wide-angle, and 2MP macro cameras. The Reno 8 Pro+’s base model costs around 3,699 Yuan (around Rs 111,000 PKR).
The OPPO Reno 8 Pro Pro model has the same size as the Pro Plus variant and has an AMOLED display. It has a peak brightness of 1300 nits, supports HDR10+ content, and measures 6.6 inches wide. Other display specifications are comparable to those of the iPhone 8 Pro Plus.
The Reno 8 Pro is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which is the company’s first mid-range platform, as well as OPPO’s own MariSilicon X NPU. It retains the Pro+ variant’s camera and battery specifications.
Dual-LED flash and UFS 2.2 storage are two further distinctions. The Reno 8 Pro is available in three different configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, and 12GB+256GB. The standard option costs 2,999 yuan (about Rs. 90,300).
The OPPO Reno 8 features a 6.43-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, 1080p resolution, and a body-to-screen ratio of 90.8 percent. The screen has an 800 nits peak brightness and a punch-hole cutout in the corner for the 16MP selfie camera. A thumb reader is also located beneath the display.

The Reno 8 is powered by MediaTek’s Density 1300 processor, which comes with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 built-in storage, but no room for a microSD card. 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 LE connectivity are all supported.
Turn the phone over to reveal the phone’s triple camera module, which has a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The same 4,500mAh battery module is used for power, and it supports 80W SuperVOOC rapid charging. The Reno 8 costs CNY 2,499 (about Rs. 75,000).
