POCO M4 to Debut in February with 5G Connectivity, Ultra-wide Camera, and 90 Hz Display

The POCO M4 series launched in November with the release of the POCO M4 Pro 5G. The long-awaited vanilla POCO M4 was never mentioned or teased. However, its introduction could be imminent, since a reputable source recently projected possible launch date for the POCO M4.

The Xiaomi POCO M4 will be available worldwide in February 2022, according to MySmartPrice and Mukul Sharma. The exact date is still unknown. Mr. Sharma, on the other hand, pointed out a few details.

The arrival of 5G to the cheap M-series is, of course, the centerpiece. The POCO M4 is also getting a 5G upgrade. The chipset isn’t specified, although it’s most likely a MediaTek Dimensity series edition.

A triple-camera system is also used in the new Xiaomi POCO mobile M4 5G, with a wide-angle 64MP Omnivision CMOS sensor, an ultra-wide 8MP Sony sensor, and a 2MP low-res shooter rounding out the trio. The M3 from last year lacked an ultra-wide lens, instead opting for a second 2MP camera.

Another improvement is the display’s refresh rate. The display is an IPS LCD with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. But it’s not all good news. Because the POCO M4 5G comes pre-installed with MIUI 12.5 x Android 11. When benchmarks and other leaks surface in the coming weeks, we should learn more.
