The Realme 9i 4G was released in February of this year, and it is expected to be followed by a 5G version soon. Multiple industry sources who work at the manufacturer’s Indian office corroborated the facts. The new 9i 5G is already nearing the completion of its development.

This shift in Realme’s perspective, according to 91Mobiles, goes against the brand’s CEO, Madhav Sheth, who previously dismissed the prospect of introducing another 5G variation to the already existing Realme 9 series.
Despite this, all indications point to a launch later this month. The Realme 9i 5G is expected to be available in three memory-based variants: 4GB + 64GB, 4GB + 128GB, and 6GB + 128GB, according to reports.
In terms of appearance, the new 9i 5G is expected to follow the same design language as the other models in the series, but we may expect small aesthetic improvements in addition to performance advancements. The handset is expected to be added to the Realme price list in the near future.
To allow 5G network functionality, the processor is believed to be a MediaTek Dimensity chip, although the primary camera retains the same old 50 MP sensor as the 4G edition. On the new Realme 9i 5G, the brand is likely to replace one of the two 2 MP cameras with an 8 MP ultrawide sensor. The display is still a 6.6-inch IPS LCD, but it now has a 120Hz refresh rate.
