Realme’s GT Neo2 will be available in Europe and India soon, but the company is already working on another GT device in China. This one will purportedly be known as the GT Neo 2T, and it will be powered by a customised version of MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 SoC.
We don’t know what other differences there are between the Neo 2T and the Neo 2, but the chipset storey is amusing in and of itself, given that the original GT Neo was essentially a version of the GT with a Dimensity chip, then the Neo2 switched to the Snapdragon 870, and now the Neo 2T has returned to MediaTek. These chip shortage-plagued times are strange.
In any case, the GT Neo 2T is projected to look similar to the GT Neo 2, but with a different colour scheme. The GT Neo 2T is expected to be released in China by the end of October. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess whether it will ever be released internationally.
