Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus Snapdragon 898 Benchmarks Featured on Geekbench

Several leaks have revealed the internal specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S22+. Everything has been finalized at this point. The new S-series phones are about to hit the market. And the pre-release benchmarks keep appearing online.

The CPU scores for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus have been published by GeekBench, a popular cross-platform benchmark. It can be found by searching for the model number ‘SM-S906.’ The listing also includes the phone’s system specifications.

For starters, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 898 chipset inside the Galaxy S22 Plus more than justifies the hefty Samsung mobile price tag.

It indicates that the benchmarked model is the US edition, as Samsung only ships Snapdragon-powered flagships to a few select markets. Qualcomm will release this upcoming premium chip on November 30, so there isn’t much information about the Snapdragon 898 right now. The S22+ comes standard with 8GB of memory. The flagship Galaxy is powered by OneUI 4, which is based on Android 12. It achieves 1163 points in single-core tests and 2728 points in multi-core tests.

In comparison, this year’s Galaxy S21+ (with comparable specifications) scores 1033 and 3148 points. However, pre-release benchmarks are almost always subject to change. The Exynos 2200-powered Galaxy S22+ is available in all South Asian markets, including Pakistan. The Exynos-based Galaxy S22+ has also been benchmarked on Geekbench. However, it was not tested to its full capacity, making comparison difficult.
