Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series is the company’s most heavily leaked flagship phone to date. At least two exhaustive reports on S22 phones have provided us with every available detail. However, the rumor mill continues to produce new leaks, the most recent of which validates the battery and quick charging specifications.

Samsung has fallen below the industry norm in terms of charging speeds in recent years. In today’s Android environment, 60W+ charging is typical. Samsung phones, on the other hand, are limited to 25W. Until now, that is, because the Galaxy S22 Ultra and Galaxy S22+ both support 45W charging.
However, the Galaxy S22’s base model is still limited to 25W. This year, Samsung has also reduced the battery size.
The S22 is powered by a 3700 mAh battery rather than a 4000 mAh cell. It takes 70 minutes for the supported 25W brick to fully charge.

A 4500 mAh battery powers the Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus, while a 5000 mAh cell powers the S22 Ultra. The new charging support reduces the charging time to 60 minutes. The battery life should improve when combined with the new chip’s smaller 4nm manufacturing node.
There’s one thing to keep in mind here. Samsung has eliminated the charging brick from the retail package of the Galaxy S21 series. As a result, the S22 series will not include a charger in the box.
