Tecno Pova Neo Features and Press Images Leaked Before the Official Launch

The Tecno Pova series is a budget brand’s performance-focused phone line. The series currently has two models, one of which is the Tecno Pova 2, which was recently launched in Pakistan. Now, the Chinese phone manufacturer is preparing to release a new edition in the near future. The Tecno Pova Neo has arrived.

The Tecno Pova Neo will be available in Africa soon. However, the rumour mill has leaked every detail about the phone. We’re looking at a dual camera encased in a rectangle with a two-tone backplate. The shell is available in three colours: Powehi, Obsidian Black, and Geek Blue.

In addition to the camera, the Pova Neo has a fingerprint scanner on the back. Flip the phone over to reveal the phone’s notched, bezel-heavy display.

It has a 6.82″ IPS LCD display with a tall 20.5:9 aspect ratio and 720P resolution. There is no high refresh rate or touch sampling rate available here. The camera inside the notch has an 8MP resolution.

The Pova Neo has a long-lasting 6000 mAh battery, making it an important addition to the Tecno price catalogue. When combined with the low-power display, the Neo should have an unrivalled battery life. When you run out of power, the phone charges quickly with 18W of power.

The MediaTek Helio P22 processor powers the Tecno Pova Neo. We wouldn’t expect competitive performance from such an old, low-end platform. You do, however, get 4GB of multitasking memory and 64GB of internal storage, which is presumably expandable. The Tecno Pova Neo is expected to go on sale later this month. According to rumours, the starting price will be KSH 16,500 (Rs. 25,600).
