Xiaomi 12 Featured in New Leaked Press Images, Detailed Specs Also Surface

While we wait for the Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12 to be released, teaser previews (both official and leaked) continue to surface online. The latest in this series of leaks reveals the Mi 12’s colour possibilities as well as technical specifications.

Three press photographs were tweeted by Evan Blass, better known as @evleaks. The Xiaomi 12 is available in three colours: mint leather, matte grey, and glossy blue. To the touch, the leather texture appears to be high-end. The back of the blue variant is glassy.

The rails are slim, curved, and the same colour as the backplate. Along the edges, the screen gradually melts. Xiaomi has also reduced the bezel to allow users more screen real estate. In general, the Xiaomi 12 has a smaller footprint than its predecessor.

The display is 6.28″ AMOLED. The display has a resolution of 1080P, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and 16000 brightness steps. The latest leaked Xiaomi smartphone has a reduced footprint, making it easier to reach from corner to corner with one hand. It gets an A+ from DisplayMate. In addition, the Xiaomi 12 supports 10-bit colour and HDR10+ content.

Inside the raised rectangle on the back are three cameras. It’s a collection of 50MP f/1.9 wide, 13MP superwide, and 3x telephoto lenses with OIS.

Xiaomi 12 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, the company’s most recent flagship. The platform is completed by ultra-fast LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage. The phone’s battery capacity is 4500 mAh. It has a 67W wired charger and a 30W wireless charger. The Xiaomi 12 is available in two storage configurations: 128GB+8GB and 256GB+12GB. The base model costs CNY 3,699 (about Rs. 103,000).
