Following the release of the CIVI 1s in April, Xiaomi yesterday made the official announcement of the second-generation CIVI smartphone. The phone, known as the Xiaomi CIVI 2, will begin selling in China on September 27. The CIVI phones are quite expensive and were specifically made with female customers in mind.

The CIVI 2 stands apart from the pack of 2022 phones, including the Xiaomi 12 range, because of its design-focused character. The backplate advertises a partnership with Hello Kitty Garments with a captivating wave-like pattern on a white finish. A white outfit with the same pattern as the phone is the Hello Kitty. The phone has impressive specs in addition to its good looks. Look at that.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is a powerful new chip that replaced the slightly out-of-date Snapdragon 778 within the CIVI 2. The brand is withholding the specifics for the time being, but it is known that the device will include a front display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080p Full HD+ resolution.
The new Civi Xiaomi smartphone has three cameras on the rear, two of which are housed in a sizable circular module and the third of which is placed alone on a rectangular camera platform. The 50MP sensor on the primary camera is the only one; the other two are auxiliary cameras. According to rumours, this main sensor may be Sony’s premium IMX707 or IMX766.

The hallmark of CIVI phones is their ultra-slim and light design, and the CIVI 2 is no exception. It is 7.23mm in thickness and weighs about 171.8 grammes. Its smooth, chamfered frame contributes to a cosy grip. Due to the brand’s partnership with Hello Kitty merchandise, each phone will come with a Kitty figurine gift.
