OnePlus 9RT goes official with SD 888 with better cooling, 6.62″ 120Hz OLED, 50MP main cam+

OnePlus has entered the fray with the OnePlus 9RT, which, despite its moniker, feels like a larger-than-usual update over the 9R. It’s also significantly different from the standard OnePlus 9. This is a brand-new device, and it’s all about gaming. But that’ll come later.

The OnePlus 9R was a redesigned 8T with the Snapdragon 870 CPU (replacing the 865), although it had the same screen, camera, and battery as the previous model. Except for the battery, the 9RT is different throughout the board, as we’ve already mentioned. This 1/1.56″ sensor includes current features such as DOL-HDR. Its 1.0 m pixels are hidden behind a dazzling f/1.8 aperture and can be binned four times into one. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) will also assist in the dazzle.

The 6.62″ display is slightly larger than the non-Pro phones (the 9 and 9R also have 6.55″ displays). The resolution of this Samsung E4 AMOLED panel is 1,080 x 2,400 pixels (20:9). It has HDR10+ support as well as sRGB and P3 color options.

The display has a high refresh rate of 120 Hz, as well as a touch sampling rate of 600 Hz for quick responses. Other game-related features include “4D” haptic feedback and three Wi-Fi antennae strategically placed around the phone to ensure continuous reception.

The chipset follows, which is, of course, a Snapdragon 888. It comes with 8 or 12 GB of quad-channel LPDDR5 RAM, as well as 128 or 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage (dual channel).

It’s worth noting that the 12 GB of RAM is only available with 256 GB of storage.
Although the 9RT uses the same chipset as the standard OnePlus 9, its “Space Cooling” features a 59 percent larger heat sink. This results in a 20% increase in heat dissipation. The vanilla model was already good at long-term performance, but this one should outperform it. The camera, on the other hand, is a one-of-a-kind configuration. The camera on the 9R was inherited from the 8T, however, the 9RT combines elements from both. Starting with the main camera, which is 50 MP and uses the same Sony IMX766 sensor as the 9 and 9 Pro (though there it was in the ultra-wide module).
