The Oppo A56 5G is yet another low-cost addition to the ever-expanding catalog of value 5G phones. Slight upgrade over the Oppo A54 in Pakistan, but only a minor refresh of the globally available A55 5G, not an entirely new phone. The A56 5G is currently available in China, with standard mediocre specs.
The Density 700 chipset is at the heart of the Oppo A56 5G, which is MediaTek’s most affordable 5G mobile platform. You get 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space.
It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and the most recent ColorOS build. The cell is large enough to provide all-day battery life. However, the A56 5G does not support fast charging.
The rest of the new Oppo phone is equally unimpressive. With its notch and thick bottom bezel, the screen only has a 720P resolution. The notched housing houses a 6.5″ IPS LCD and an 8MP camera. The Oppo A56 5G includes a storage expansion slot, a side-facing thumbprint reader that also serves as the power button, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The phone’s shell measures 8.4mm deep and weighs nearly 190g. It’s made of plastic and comes in the colors sunburst purple, graphite, and blue. The Oppo A56 5G has three cameras: an 8MP front camera, a 13MP back camera, and an additional 2MP portrait lens. The lens system is also nothing to write home about. It can capture images in the standard AI Beauty, Color, and Clear Night modes.
The Oppo A56 5G has a single storage option and costs CNY 1,599 (Rs. 43,800). There has been no word on a global release date as of yet.
