The Realme GT Neo2 was released in September, and now we’re getting a follow-up just four weeks later. The smartphone maker has set an October 19 debut date for the Realme GT Neo2T smartphone, a new handset created in conjunction with Li-Ning, a streetwear and sports equipment firm.
We know it’s a new phone since various rumors claim it’ll be powered by a Density 1200 processor, which is a 6nm architecture with a little less powerful CPU than the Snapdragon 870 found in the Neo2.
According to one leak, the back design will resemble a motherboard, while Realme’s CMO stated that the collaboration with Li Ning will “be an intersection of new design approaches.” We have no idea what that means in terms of real appearances, but it’s a significant deal for Realme.
Li Ning won three gold medals at the 1984 Summer Olympics as a gymnast. He now owns a sports equipment company with endorsements from Shaquille O’Neal, Dwayne Wade, and Jimmy Butler, among others.
