Last week, the Xiaomi 12 series was released in China. It’s the latest generation of the company’s flagship phones. For the time being, it’s only available in China. However, according to sources on Twitter, the Xiaomi 12 series will be released globally in the coming months.

The Xiaomi 12 series consists of three models: the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. The folks over at MySmartPrice have uncovered a possible release date for these three phones. According to reports, the flagships will go international by the end of February or the beginning of March this year. The Xiaomi 12’s release date puts it in direct rivalry with Samsung’s, OnePlus’, and Oppo’s next flagships.
Xiaomi is reintroducing the tiny form factor with the Xiaomi 12. In recent years, Apple’s iPhone Mini models have been the only mainstream small phones. Smaller Android phones, on the other hand, may make a reappearance in 2022.
Both Xiaomi’s latest flagship phones, the 12 and 12X, feature ergonomic 6.28″ screens (comparable to the size of a modern iPhone but even narrower in width.) It’s a 1080p AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The Pro has an even more gorgeous display, with a 6.73″ LTPO panel from Samsung. It has a QHD+ 2K resolution and a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz.
All three phones have the same design and are available in black, blue, or lavender. The Pro model also comes with a mint faux leather finish.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. With the Snapdragon 870, the Xiaomi 12X is a more budget-friendly option. The Pro is the first Xiaomi phone to feature 120W charging technology. The other two variants use 67W technology.
